We Listen — Volunteer Assignment Agreement

Prima Nota Inc.

Volunteers are an essential and valued part of We Listen. This agreement sets out what you can expect from us, and what we hope from you. It is not a legally binding contract — it is a mutual expression of commitment and care.

Prima Nota Inc. will:

  • Provide a full induction and all training required for your role
  • Assign you a Program Coordinator: Nina Iouguina ([email protected])
  • Assign a buddy volunteer for your first 3 months
  • Provide monthly peer supervision sessions
  • Protect your privacy and confidentiality at all times
  • Provide access to professional support if you are affected by the role
  • Keep you informed of changes that affect your role
  • Actively seek your feedback to improve the program
  • Apply our complaints procedure fairly if needed

As a We Listen Volunteer, I will:

  • Abide by Prima Nota's Code of Conduct and We Listen policies
  • Maintain my Working With Children Check (WWCC) currency
  • Work within a trauma-informed, non-judgemental framework
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all participants
  • Observe professional boundaries as outlined in my induction
  • Notify the Coordinator if I cannot attend a scheduled session
  • Attend monthly peer supervision sessions
  • Report mandatory reporting situations to the Coordinator immediately
  • Seek support if I am experiencing vicarious trauma
  • Give at least 2 weeks notice if I wish to step back from volunteering

Confidentiality

I understand that all information regarding participants of We Listen — including their identities, circumstances, and the content of our sessions — is strictly confidential. This obligation continues after my involvement with the program ends.
