March was a deeply meaningful month for Prima Nota Inc.

On March 5, we had the honour of attending the International Women’s Day Forum- “One Community, Many Strengths” at the Adelaide Festival Centre, together with the chairperson of Prima Nota, Nina Iouguina and Maryan Ablamskaya.

Thank you to Anna A. (AMRC) for the invitation- it was a privilege to be part of this space.

What stood out most was the tone of the conversations- honest, grounded, and responsible.

“We will not tolerate dangerous harmful narratives- and we will stand up against this kind of rhetoric.”

This wasn’t just a statement- it defined the room.

A special acknowledgement to Kirstie Parker at Reconciliation Australia.

Her perspective on embedding understanding of Aboriginal culture within multicultural communities strongly resonated with us.
At Prima Nota, this is already becoming part of our work- more on that soon.

We connected with a wide range of organisations doing critical work across South Australia:

Afra Prodan at Australian Federal Police, Preventive Health SA, BreastScreen SA, Embolden, headspace, Easy Read Tech, Commonwealth Bank, SHINE SA, and others

These weren’t just introductions- they were the beginning of real, practical pathways for collaboration within the Russian-speaking community.

It was great to reconnect with the Diabetes SA Adelaide team as community partners at our Folk Pancake Festival Maslenitsa SA 2026. Partnerships that continue beyond a single event matter.

A special shoutout as well to Roxanne from Services Australia- we’re currently developing a meaningful initiative together, and we’re looking forward to what’s ahead.

Thank you to everyone who shared the table with us- these conversations are where real community work begins. And most certainly thank you to Australian Migrant Resource Centre (AMRC) for creating such a beautiful and warm-hearted space for fuelling new meaningful connections (and for the stunning photos!).

March was a month of alignment, growth, and clarity for Prima Nota. We’re moving forward with stronger community partnerships and a clearer sense of where we can create impact. 🖤
