🎶 Celebrating learning and growth in our community 🎶
This year, Sofia, a member of Prima Nota’s Managing Committee and a youth program and choir facilitator, completed her Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) Singing Comprehensive Grade 6 and Theory of Music Grade 2 assessments, continuing her journey of formal musical training alongside her community work with Prima Nota.
At Prima Nota, we believe that strong community arts are built on care, consistency, and respect for craft. Ongoing learning matters- not for titles but to ensure that what we offer our communities is safe, thoughtful, and grounded in recognised standards.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Maria Jukoff of St Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church Adelaide for her guidance and coaching in preparation for this examination. Following a repertoire transition earlier in the year, Maria’s focused and generous support played an important role in consolidating technique and musical interpretation in a short period of time. We are deeply grateful for her mentorship and care.
Congratulations, Sofia- and to all young people who continue to learn, practise, and share their voices with their communities 💛🎶
