Wooden dolls, often adorned with natural fibers and bright fabric, have been a cherished part of Slavic folklore for centuries. These handcrafted figures represent protection, prosperity, and well-being. In this workshop, you will: ✔️ Learn about the cultural significance of Slavic wooden dolls
✔️ Craft your own Берегиня (Bereginya) – a guardian doll symbolizing warmth and safety
✔️ Use natural materials like straw, wood, and fabric scraps, just as artisans did in the past
✔️ Decorate your doll with intricate details and vibrant ribbons
🕊️ Fabric Bird of Happiness (Птица Счастья)
The Bird of Happiness is a timeless folk symbol of joy, hope, and good fortune. It was traditionally hung in homes to bring positive energy and protect loved ones. During this session, you will: ✔️ Discover the legend and meaning of the Fabric Bird of Happiness
✔️ Craft your own bird using colorful fabric, thread, and twine
✔️ Experiment with folding and tying techniques to shape its wings and form
