Prima Nota, a Russian-speaking&hellip;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today marks the beginning of National Reconciliation Week.<\/p>\n<p>Prima Nota, a Russian-speaking community organisation in South Australia, is honoured to share our contribution to Reconciliation Australia\u2019s Voices for Reconciliation initiative.<\/p>\n<p>Our version of \u201cBeds Are Burning\u201d was performed by Prima Nota\u2019s women\u2019s and men\u2019s choirs together, with voices recorded across the full choir collective and selected performers appearing in the video.<\/p>\n<p>Our Prima Nota Collective Choirs performed \u201cBeds Are Burning\u201d in three languages- English, Russian, and Kaurna- bringing together migrant voices, music, and a shared commitment to listening, learning, and walking forward with respect.<\/p>\n<p>And watch for the Russian translation in the second verse!<\/p>\n<p>For many in our community, this project became more than a performance.
